Grants have been made to the three participating universities in accord with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s regular funding guidelines. Under the program the universities provide Scholars with stipends, health insurance, expenses associated with the move to their fellowship site, and funds for a computer. Limited financial support is also available at each university for expenses associated with Scholar research, including travel. A flexible curriculum has been implemented at each university to meet the educational needs and research interests of individual Scholars.
